Who are we Hope for life is a ministry of OMF Cambodia ,an international mission agency. This ministry began in the fall of 2008. It started as a ministry to women leaving the sex industry ,in the Stung Meanchey area of Phnom Penh. After seeing the needs in this extremely poor area, a desire to start a Cambodian - run, church - planting movement among the urban poor,was birthed. What do we do All of the ministry of Stung Meanchey is built on relationships. It has taken time to connect with and to be accepted by the local communities. This is done by visiting homes and sharing the Good News of Jesus, among the communites.Also, with the help of Cambodian teammates, we teach English and music classes to build a bridge of friendships.Leadership training and bible teaching are done every week. Project We would like to respond to the massive needs of the urban poor. We are sponsoring poor families send their kids to school. We also want to sponsor youth and men to receive job skills, to lift them out of poverty. Medical education and basic care is something that the poor do not have. We are helping in this area. We also have a desire to help families by assisting them in setting up small businesses. Hope for Life is an approved international project with OMF international. Contact us for more info
